At North Shore Surf Girls, we want every guest to feel confident booking with us. This policy explains our cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms for all surf lessons, group bookings, gift cards, and the Sunset BBQ experience on Oʻahu’s North Shore. We’ve kept it short, plain-language, and traveler-friendly.

Standard cancellation policy (24-hour notice)

• Cancellations 24+ hours before your lesson: Full refund to your original payment method, or convert to a lesson credit — your choice.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of your lesson: Non-refundable, but we’ll gladly reschedule you to any available date (see Rescheduling below).
• Applies to: Group surf lessons, Private & Semi-Private lessons, Family Private lessons, Surf & Turtle Tour, and Photo / SUP add-ons.
• To cancel, contact us by phone, text, or email (see “How to cancel or reschedule” below).

Sunset BBQ & Surf Lesson — 48-hour notice required

Because the Sunset BBQ & Surf Lesson includes pre-ordered food, beach setup, and dedicated staffing, this experience requires a 48-hour cancellation notice instead of 24.

• Cancellations 48+ hours before: Full refund or lesson credit.
• Cancellations within 48 hours: Non-refundable; reschedule available subject to availability.

Weather, ocean, and safety cancellations

We monitor North Shore conditions every morning. If we cancel your lesson due to unsafe surf, dangerous ocean conditions, or severe weather, you choose:

• Full refund to your original payment method, or
• Reschedule to any available date.

Lessons run rain or shine when the ocean is safe — light rain is normal and does not affect your lesson. We’ll contact you directly (phone, text, or email) if your lesson needs to move.

No-show policy

Guests who do not arrive at the scheduled meeting location and time are charged the full lesson price. Late arrivals may still get the full surf lesson if our schedule allows. Please call or text 808-637-2977 as soon as possible if you’re running late — we’ll do our best to slot you in.

Rescheduling

Reschedule as many times as you need — there is no limit. Just contact us at least 24 hours before your lesson (or 48 hours for Sunset BBQ) and we’ll move you to any available date that works. Rescheduled lessons keep the original payment intact; no rebooking fees.

Group & corporate bookings

Group surf lessons (3 or more guests) and corporate bookings follow the same standard 24-hour cancellation policy above. The booking lead (the person who paid or coordinated the reservation) is responsible for notifying us if the group cancels or reschedules.

The Sunset BBQ exception (48-hour notice) applies to all group and corporate Sunset BBQ bookings.

Gift card & voucher refunds

Gift cards and vouchers purchased from North Shore Surf Girls are non-refundable for cash. They can be redeemed for:

• Any surf lesson, Surf & Turtle Tour, or Sunset BBQ experience, or
• Store merchandise (rashguards, hats, branded gear) of equivalent value.

Gift cards are transferable — recipients can be changed at any time. Unused gift card balances convert to lesson or store credit.
