No-shows are non-refundable, but we can usually reschedule with advance notice — even inside the 24-hour window — so please call or text us the moment you know. Late arrivals are accommodated to the best of our ability, especially when traffic is the cause.

SUP rentals at North Shore Surf Girls start at $40.00 per board for a 2.5-hour rental. Delivery and pickup at the Anahulu River in Haleʻiwa are included — we drop the board off and pick it up so you don’t have to worry about transport. Each rental includes a high-quality stand-up paddleboard, paddle, leash, and a basic safety overview at drop-off.

Our SUP rentals are based on the Anahulu River, Oʻahu’s longest flowing river. The scenic route covers approximately ¾ mile each way and takes you past lush surroundings, local wildlife, and iconic landmarks including the historic Rainbow Bridge. The water is calm, sheltered, and ideal for beginners and casual paddlers. You can paddle at your own pace and turn around whenever you’d like.

Yes — the Anahulu River is calm, sheltered from ocean waves, and well-suited for first-time paddlers, families, and casual adventurers. You’ll receive a basic safety overview when we deliver your board. Life jackets are available upon request and strongly recommended for children or anyone with limited swimming ability. The rental is self-guided, so we recommend it for guests who are comfortable in calm water without an instructor.

We recommend SUP rentals for ages 8 and up. Younger children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult on the board or in the water. Because the rental is self-guided (no instructor), guests should be comfortable in calm water and able to swim, or wear a life jacket. If you’d like instruction, consider our guided River Turtle Tour & SUP Lesson instead.

Included: a high-quality stand-up paddleboard, paddle, leash, basic safety overview, and convenient delivery and pickup at the Anahulu River. Life jackets are available on request. What to bring: reef-safe sunscreen, a hat or sunglasses, drinking water, a towel, and a change of clothes. Leave valuables in the car or at your hotel — there’s no secure storage at the launch.

The Anahulu River is one of the best spots on Oʻahu to spot Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu), and sightings are common during a self-guided rental. However, turtle sightings are not guaranteed and you’ll be paddling on your own. For a guided experience with an instructor, expert turtle-spotting, and on-water coaching, see our River Turtle Tour & SUP Lesson.
